Professional Learning Program and Project Partners
Organizations Supporting Computer Science Education
Seasons of CS is a research-backed professional learning model for K-12 educators, paraprofessionals, administrators, and counselors who are interested in bringing computer science to their students. The goal of this program is to expand systematic capacity for equitable, scalable, and sustainable computer science education in California.
Computer Science for California (CSforCA) is a coalition of educators, industry leaders, nonprofit organizations, and higher education institutions advocating for high quality computer science teaching & learning opportunities in K-12 public schools so that every California student has access, regardless of zip code, race, gender or economic background.
Computer Science Teachers Association is a national membership organization that supports and promotes the teaching of K-12 CS; provides opportunities for K–12 teachers and their students to better understand CS and to more successfully prepare themselves to teach and learn.
The Alliance for California Computing Education for Students and Schools (ACCESS) is a statewide network of computer scientists, K-12 teachers, professors from community colleges through universities, educational policy advocates, and related industry professionals. ACCESS advocates for high-quality K-12 computer science education in California that is accessible to all students, including those who are traditionally under-represented in CS higher education and careers: girls, low-income students and students of color.
